Prism Bitch launches their west coast tour
There are no cosmic tenets or magic fairy dust propelling this prominent rock group; simply the human endurance to remain gloriously intact during reentry.
Albuquerque be like: why do we allow it? I dunno, lemme hit that pipe.
New Mexico be like: hey rich people, come live here, just stay away from abq. And then they laugh. hardy har har. spend more than ten minutes in the twilight zone of central ave to see they really don’t want to help people here.
The world: through their suffering, carries on with the cosmic evolution of music by way of global influence under oppressive atmospheres of fear. In real time. Music is the conduit of worldly acceptance and human compassion; it advances the race in both presence and spirit.
While albuquerque keeps getting donkey punched by its own aggravated stupidity, Prism Bitch broke a few glass ceilings, and the establishment, to blaze their own path to international notoriety, consistently requested by the worldly-involved music festivals up and down the west coast. In 2025, they are at the top of the lineup in all of them. There’s a story within a story there, and it’s indicative of the crew’s compassion for the human race. Period. There is no further condition. They are cosmic messengers we can all celebrate absurdities with as we pump each other up to their fullest actualized self; the life robbed by the establishment. The system under duress.
On March 22nd, they play albuquerque at the launchpad. I am stoked for them and stoked for albuquerque: ALL AGES! Gonna be one of the biggest shows this year as they continue to make history with their retro future audio and visual badassery in their spring tour kickoff. Hearing them live, but especially on Starlight, is an out of body experience worthy of entry into the hall of fame for planet hopping.
Their live shows are wild and edgy without being vulgar; modern and relevant while punching up with their friends in plutonic solidarity. It’s all about rock and roll with this crew with a power pop signature of human awesomeness in every performance.

Prism Bitch did the damn thing before the pandemic, survived that, returned after the all clear to an avalanche of new bands popping up in 2023, then whipped out their stadium-leveling production and retro-future visual signature, and poof! Dead bands everywhere. Lorda mercy. Cryin’ shame how hard they had to go at Burque Rock City Fest, back in August ‘23, where I first saw them.
It’s a fool’s errand to dissect this crew; senselessly breaking down the components and influences, let alone the real world environmental and psychological pressures, while overlooking the hidden-in-plain-sight roadmap to continuous engagement that is their rocket-ship escape velocity to the top of the first page of a three page flyer; a rare residency at Tree Fort. Just seems bigger than us, ya dig. Cosmic energy with a sling shot of vitality. Shit is fun yo. And they do it with an unfathomed consistency, nine years total, truth be told.1
A delightfully spirited and gorgeous androgyny of exploding rock melodies through wonder and awe amplified by their brilliant suffering and authentic connection with those who have been through it all and still want to dance and scream in joyous bouts of celebratory rage with their friends. Their songs go hard but land well within consensual amounts of cringe, and flutter vibrantly over the meadows and lush fields of bizarre, yet uplifting positivity, opening the grazing galaxy to feast on their own failed and troubled experiences.
Nine years for a touring rock band is bonkers and we need to take a moment to celebrate their bigger picture: broke several glass ceilings in genre in a state once dominated by toxic masculinity and corrupt systems; knew they had something back in 2017 and committed to escaping albuquerque; put together a killer debut album; survived pandemic; and now has to survive a shitty political and economic environment at the top of their cosmic rock game.
I got about five to seven heavy heavy hitters coming out of Burque Rock City and New Mexico making moves this year and Prism Bitch is at the top, giving the moon a lap dance of body shots infused by music produced to make the world gather and boogie in solidarity. Huge in an industry hell bent on destroying human authenticity. Super nova in a nation hell bent on destroying human life.
